Reclaiming the hero within

Do you remember the good old days where you used to grab an old towel, wrapped it around your neck like a superhero cape and pretended to fight off bad guys until you were summoned for dinner?

You were the hero, the champion, the conqueror.  Your power was limitless and you couldn’t be stopped.  Until you ran into the ultimate antagonist: The Real World and it’s ability to vanquish imagination and the ability to dream.

You still are the hero.  You still are the conqueror.  You are still on the Hero’s Journey.  It might not like the archetypal path of the Jedi that Luke Skywalker went on or you might not be Harry Potter at Hogwarts.   It doesn’t have to look like someone else’s

You’re on your own unique journey.  A journey the history of human kind, that only YOU will experience.  I’ve been doing my fair share of soul-searching of late, only to have been myself reminded that I am indeed on my own journey.  Hence the need to remind each of you of the epic odyssey you are on.

You will fight dragons.  You will find the ring to rule them all.  You will become a Master Jedi.  It will just look a little different for each of us.  I want the Reclaim to be there to help you on that journey to greatness.  I’d love our program to be fill that role of health mentor on your passage to purpose and give you the sword that slays some of the dragons you will encounter.

On that note I leave you with this quote from Steven Pressfield.

No one who has ever lived or ever will, has a journey like ours.  Yet our journey is universal.

We’re here when you are ready.  Journey on.
